looking at a celica but ????????

Celica GT4 '86, wht, number 648 of 2274 made, short shifter, 5 spd, racing clutch, nr new tyres, AW, K&N filter, 138,000km, Momo steering whl etc $2995 ono

i had a look at it a so on
the gearbox is @#$%&*
1st is cool
2nd well meh
3rd is @#$#$^%&
4 is cool

whould like to now the cost 4 a new one or to fix it

did the same to my celica.3rd goes and the whole box follows gear by gear.looking at 1000's to get it reconned....not worth the hassle.
for a gt4 count on bout 1000$ in labour to get it done if u dont do it urself....well worth doing the clutch at the same tijme if not sure on condition
price of a 2nd hand box will depend where u get it from....culd find one for as litle as 300 up to 1500 for a warrantied one from a wreckers...roundabout 6-800 would be the average price tho.

3G is too much in my opinion if the box is stuffed...ull be looking at $2000 odd to get it sorted.....i sold my st185 for not much more than that with a lot more gear on it...rims sounds and a bunch of other crap.
