Postby hoolio » Sat Jul 17, 2004 2:39 pm

I have no model numbers which is mighty useless for this post , but does ant one know if a 1996 Caldina 5spd gearbox will fit an ST165 3SGTE??

Any info appreciated.

If you got the ST215 3s-gte engine to go with it, it would well be worth the time. You are talking about a manual 'box from a caldina NA or Turbo?

it should fit, although if it's from an NA caldina it may not be as strong. Do you know the gearbox code?

Why not just try to find an ST205 box? It bolts straight in using your existing ST165 mounts and is a strong box with tripple and dual cone synchros on 2nd and 3rd with the same final drive as your gearbox.
