Dident know a temp sensor would make it run to rich to start. Have you no oxy sensor?

Well apparantly, read up on fuel injection if ya unsure  The reason being basically on a cold start the temp sensor will tell the ecu to get the injectors to spray more fuel into cylinders in order for it to run, sorta like a choke.

it should still run ok with the brown or green plugs unplugged brown = cold start injector and green = water / engine temp sensor it just means you had no cold starter which is prety vital in a cranking situation

Temperature Sensors....

Postby jondee86 » Sat Jul 24, 2004 11:27 am

From memory there are two temperature sensors that are active at startup. One switches the fifth injector on until the water temp rises. The other inputs a signal to the ECU that causes it to richen the A/F at cold temperatures. This is the one you tweak to get more fuel from the stock ECU.

Don't know why either would stop the engine firing though ?
