there was a rite uo in farst fours and there was no doubt they worked but more worry that people would buy them without thinking about upgrading fuel mangment

lol he's still selling them... I thought he would have quit the other week after all the comments he got.

If you were going to consider buying an electric supercharger, I beleave there are beter units on the market. That one is fairly low amperage and going by that, low power.
Cant believe im still a member here.

www.electricsupercharger.com

seems like it should do what they claim,

the maths works out right anyway,

1 psi boost, with an electric supercharger that is pulling 59amps.

the real question is,

WHY BOTHER?

for gods sake, lock this thread!!!

We've done this topic to death a number of times.

It goes around and around, then somebody links to the text of a page that debunks the claims, demonstrating the actual level of electical power needed to create any boost.

Everyone then stands around saying "Oh okay, so it's bull".

Die thread die.

Actually the link to where it debunks the claims, states that you would need around 60 amps...

see my previous post.

I would have thought it was _total_ bull until as I had seen various places that debunks the claims, before I had seen www.electricsupercharger.com

From ElectricSupercharger.com
"The eRAM produces less than ½ PSI, but also rids the system of about ½ PSI of vacuum caused by filter and inlet restriction. These two gains give the eRAM its 1PSI supercharging performance results. "

The eRAM draws 57.8 AMPs @ 12 volts, so around 684 watts.

page debunking the theory is looking at a very different product,

they actually suggest the E-Ram as something worth looking at
http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_2063/article.html

There is a page debunking the theory on AutoSpeed, but that is regarding the Twin-Turbo Zet, (resembles a couple of computer cooling fans)
And that is talking about something providing 12-14 psi,

which if you do the Math against their figures (divide the power required figures down, so that its only what you would need for 1/2 a psi) then it actually all adds up.

Thats the whole point I'm trying to make

1PSI...
What a waste of time....
It should work as it says it does... the maths looks right, the theory seems right... but again...
What a waste of time...

Those Super E-Rams on www.electricsupercharger.com look kinda cool,

could provide a bit of orginal "bling" for your engine bay,

gawd knows why someone would buy one for performance reasons.

People go to lots of trouble with antilag, which most of the time is lucky to make you very much boost.... providing a pressurised supply of air to the turbo certainly would have benefit's I'd think - just like people have intake ducts to try and force air in when the car is moving. 1psi from 1000rpm could be quite useful.

Like others have said tho, a lot of the fans out there claiming to make a difference are a joke. The ones on electricsupercharger.com look like they would do the biz tho.

they do look like they would do the job,

or you could invest $500, build a pulse jet,
strap it onto the back of your car,

use it as effective "anti-lag"

hehehe
