Can i put super lows on the rear of my 20Valve???

Postby GT 20Valve » Thu Jul 29, 2004 7:54 pm

I have a 93 20valve Levin and bout 2months ago i took it in to get lowered as ya do, anyway i said i wana go as low as i can but stayn legal cause having insurance is important to me and if i went past legal it wud have to be certed and i would loose my insurance. So they told me that they cud do super lows on the front but not on the bak and i said thats fine if thats all you can do, since then numerous people have told me that, that is bullshit! What can i do can i tell them that they lied and to put super lows back in???????? :x

maybe they said that as it wouldnt be legal unless the rear shocks were shortedned as well...its quite common 4 the rear shocks needed to be shortened to keep the springs captive when superlows are fitted

What brad springs were they going to use?, its possible there was not a set to suite the rear, or that they would not remain captive. I know with ae92's there are two different listings for rear shocks and if you get the wrong one they dont stay captive. In saying all this Im sure some of the others on the site with your model have theirs lowered!?!

If you have king springs, they do a super-low on the front but only a low on the rear as that goes almost over a 17" wheel =)

you can put super lows on them aslong as it dont got the superstrut suspension coz if yuo do first big bump yuo go over youll snap close to most of the bolts that hold the suspension together but yeah man low is cool
