adjusting clutch

Postby minijrocks » Mon Aug 09, 2004 5:54 pm

Hi, i have a 91 trueno apex blah blah, and ive just got it and it has a new clutch.
Can i adjust when the clutch engages? At the moment its kinda annoying because it doesn't engage until its pretty much right out and i want to move it to about half. Where can i take it to get this done (if i can) on the north shore and how much . cheers. also when does your clutch engage?

You can adjust the pedal engagement slitly.

Look up under the dash where clutch pedal goes and ull see a locking nut.

loosen nut and twist rod that goes into clutch master cylinder, twist it one way then try driving to see where clutch works at, then twist other way till u get desired place.

Dodgy but works.

Another option for adjusting a hydrolic clutch is make up a new arm from the slave cylinder to clutch fork.
It all depends on the setup wether it would work or not though.
Cant believe im still a member here.
