lock diff?

how hard is it to lock up a standard KP60 Starlet Diff???

its for my brothers kp60 starlet with a 12a 6port with S1 gbox.

just started to make a huge clunk when u hit high revs and change gear, like its got sum lag or sumthing...

not hard if you can weld. but its illegal for the road..

sounds like the diff is about to give up, so you probably want to replace it and just lock the new one up, mine made that same clunking noise just before it went completly, the easiest way is just to weld them up, but you can actually buy them, pretty pricy tho

yup i think it on its ways out ay, but in the mean time we on the hunt for another diff. Or if alelse fails may try put a hulux in it.

it will blow to bits ... we blew up a welded KP61 diff after about ten minutes use with a 2TG :)

Std starlet axels are so strong that if you weld the dif and do a sharp slow u-turn on good tarseal you will snap one.

i ran a locked kp diff in my starlet for a few months never blew up, daily trashed. it may have been a 4k, but it got death. longest lasting locker i've had!

uh 12a 6 port??? What, did your brother turn four ports into 6????? Mazda never made a 12a six port..................

it is a 12a 6port from a COSMO... well thats what he told me.
