AE86 will slaughter a ae101 in a straight line, stock for stock

IMO - AE86 = more of a drivers car, which really, appeals to me!

I briefly had an AE82 FXGT and it wasn't hugely fun....

Biggie ups to the AE86

I'll back up my claims with simple real world dyno figures and weights.

Ae101 would make around 85-90kw @ wheels stock. Weight of around 1100kgs.

ae86 makes around 85kw@wheels (dyno proven). Weight of around 950kgs.

Add in the rwd traction of the ae86 and the torqueyness of the bluetop and well the result is pretty clear.

Depends what you want it for. Personally I find the AE85/86s to be ugly as f**k but I dont think I'd want an FX-GT either. Why are those your only choices?

k, im 17, i drive an ae82 fx.
i would own both those cars, but a nice 86 would be my preference.
id choose my ae82 overan ae101 fx coz i like the older styling better.
But could i also have an ae101 with a 3sgte in it with sounds a kit and some 18inch race wheels as a comfortable cruiser, and a nice stripped out ae86 wit panda white paint and a j-blood kit for a drift car to play around in during the weekend?
When in doubt, down and out.

Ask your self this then, if the AE86 was FWD and the FXGT RWD, would your oponion still be the same?

Id still have whatever what was RWD.
