Postby minijrocks » Mon Aug 16, 2004 6:10 pm

Hi, ive done a search and found a few things about installing a shift light. Does anyone got a pic of their levin 4age engine bay where their wires go? From this site... http://hp.autometer.com/instruction_download/instructions/397f.pdf
which shift lite should i have? does a 1992 trueno have 'standard ignition'? or is it one of the different ones shown on that site?[/u]

the wires you'll need will be easily accessable from inside the cabin. A good 12+ wire for it would be off the clock accesory wire. just tap in to the wires behind the instument cluster.

my guess is that u have "standard" electronic ignition.
i reckon the rest on that site are aftermarket ignition modules. On the standard ignition diagram, its got a coil (dodgy ol' points) OR an ECU which is what u have. Not sure about the "tach" link they are on about on the ECU, but the rest is piece ov cake, just a positive from the batt, (u could bypass ure power to ure stereo if u wanted) and a ground!
