4AGE 20V TO A COROLLA EE90....

I got a COROLLA 89 XL 4doors EE90 using a 1.3 2E carb engine now.Keen to get a 4AGE 20V from a crashed 93 FX-GT.What i need to take off from that car for my car?Can I use the 4age gearbox or refit with my old one?Anyone could give a detail for this.

I dont have much expierience with 20v's but i think u will need the FXGT box as well. Dont think ure one will fit, along with the driveshafts to i would imagine.

I reckon u will need new mounts as well, coz of 2 different series engines. Im guessing AE82 or AE92 4A-GE crossmember and mounts will do nicely.

U will also need ECU and loom as well due to switching from carb to efi.

don't forget to change your fuel tank as the carb version has no internal efi fuel pump.
Or you can gimmy up and external fuel pump but the can be a bit noisey.

4AG into AE/EE8X no problem, is bolt up proposition
4AG into AE9X no problem bolt up
4AG into EE9X major problem, needs drivers side engine mount unstitched and new one welded in, cert issues as well

if ur doing engine mounts then you might aswell drop in a tasty 3sge.
or stay with the 'e' series engines and get a 4efte 1300cc turbo from a GT starlet
