dash light

Postby minijrocks » Fri Aug 20, 2004 5:33 pm

Hi, i have a ae101 trueno, and the dash light which is of the car with lines coming from the back lights is on. I assume this is that one of the rear lights is faulty? But when checking, they all seem to be working fine, break lights, indicators, reverse lights.... any help? could it be a fuse?

Ive got the same problem in my AE101 Levin. All my lights work fine, but still has the tail light warning light on all the time too. Toyota staff said that this can happen when you have bulbs of the wrong type/size/wattage (whichever) installed.

I've been meaning to pull all my lights out and check them against what should be installed, but just have to have the spare time to do it... Till then I just ignore the warning light.

oh ok, nothing to worry about then. does yours come on like 10 seconds after you start up or does it come on straight away?

Yeah, there is usually a short delay before it comes on. Mine usually comes on when I hit the brake pedal, so in my case that narrows it down to which bulbs i'll be checking first.
