Back lights (bulbs)

Hi, my back brake light is out on my trueno (1992) and i want to know how to change the bulbs over. How do i get the plastic cover off? i tried prying it off but felt i might break it so ive come here. also how much am i looking at for a new bulb.

Hmmm you dont get access to the tail light bulbs by prying off the covers to them, hope you didnt damage anything.

You will have to take the tail lights out to get to them. Open the boot, unclip the plastic liner that runs flat across the top of the boot, then youll have to unscrew the back panel off the inside of the boot. From there youll see how the tail light is bolted to the car. Un-do the 4 bolts per light and they will come out.

haha, lucky i didn't. I had a look behind the plasitc lining stuff in the boot, but it looked like i could only see metal... ill have another look :oops:

Yes you will see metal but look closer youll see the fixings for the tail lights. They should be a 10mm bolt, two bolts at each side of the light

on the 101's you dont need to remove the inner panel, there are gromets you can remove that give you access to the bolt heads :-)
