Postby Shady_Dan » Thu Aug 26, 2004 1:57 pm

Buying a Gearbox off a fellow TS member in the next week or so, and the levin the gearbox is coming out of has a bluetop TVIS 4AGE with extractors, what i wanna know is, will these exctractors be an exact fit with the Red top? or is it worth my time and money to hold off getting them incase they dont fit?

hey I have some RWD bluetop sextarctors and the ports lined up sweet with my 20v why did the small port change. I thought the exhaust ports stayed the same all the way through until blacktop 20v

all 16V 4age (and 4agze) exhaust manifolds/extractors are interchangeable, yes they will fit straight onto your red top (they will bolt onto the head but you need to get the rest welded...) the 16V extractors will fit a 20 valve with some modification to the two outer bolt holes (pretty easy if you have a workshop and welder).... g'luck

Same with 20v extractors to 16v, same problem, 2 modify 2 outer bolt holes.

20v's come factory with extractors (4>2>1) which are pretty good, and theyre fairly cheap to get hold of so its probably easier to just buy some than modify 16v ones.
