2Y 5Speed Box - Bolt On To 3Y??

I have access to a 2Y motor and 5 Speed box. Wanna put the box in my Hiace with a 3Y - anybody know if the 2Y and 3Y boxes are interchangeable.

As in bolt on type interchangeable.

not 100% sure... but im sure they will. as long as they both are RWD setup, but its likely they will mate

anyone with a "y" series engine, correct me if im wrong.

Hope so, because i'm looking to buy a running Townace with no rear diff, but has a 5speed box and running motor. So I figure id help myself to the box

Just gotta find a way of getting it from tauranga to auckers (hopefully it'sa mobile) and find out for sure if the boxes will mate.
