So, what cars (make and model) do you think sound the best? And why?

I love Misti Evo's with a sick external wastegate!

The sound of an R32 GT-R getting thrashed is like watching the best porn film for me.
But Subie's boxer packing its punch comes in close 2nd.

Can't go past a Mitsi-Hence why i'm jumping back in one.
And as much as I hate to admit Subbies and Vtecs come in a close 2nd and 3rd. I must say in a Vtec I do enjoying hearing the Vtec kick in rather than just feeling it kick in in the Levin *Shrugs Shoulders*

subarus and skylines :D although there was one rotor wagon here that had the deepest, slowest pulse that just oozed power you could feel it coming a good couple of minutes before you heard it then hear it about a minute before you saw it

Subaru's got a real nice sound, Vtec does sound cool but thats more to do with the intake? They don't sound as good with a big zorst.

My corona used to have 2 foot of 3 inch pipe and a 4wd Jeep coby in the middle, Sounded real good

8's are what do it for me. Nothing beats the rumble of a powerful V8. I love it :D
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Pretty much any Japanese turbo inline 4 sounds tractorish (think 3SGTE, 4G63, SR20DET)

I dont care what anyone else thinks, but the quick brap of a PP motor really does it for me...when I first heard Stu Lawton's 323 fire up (I was approximately 5km's from the lock ups 8O ) it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

I do quite like the sound of a stupidly cammed V8 pretending to idle, and also EJ20's sound mean, especially with headers...yummy!

...how about a Toyota Straight 6 twin turbo with absolutely NO exhaust

I personally do like the deep rumble of the EJ20 or a big twin carb V8 ideling in pulses like they normally do
