Ok I'm totally out of ideas, the story goes like this.
the adapter for my Garrett GT25R Turbo is loose, (everything else is working fine), it just needs tightening, so I took out the manifold<-adapter->turbo<-downpipe-> assembly as a whole, made new bolts and nuts for the adapter, tighten etc... while I'm at it, new drain pipe.
put it back together, 2nd day (about 100kms down the track) there was blue smoke coming out of the exhaust from time to time, so I checked, oh okay, the drain pipe was slightly long (about a few CM's), which made it a very slight U shape on the drain pipe. at this stage the intake side (the pipe from air filter to the compressor housing) is filled with oil). So i thought okay, that very slight U shape drain might upset the whole thing, I checked play on shaft, no play.
Today I shortened the oil drain pipe so it's very much vertical or flat, went out for a drive..... there is so much white smoke that'll rival a V8 doing burnouts, there are oil from my BOV, from my exhaust (dripping!) and intake (pre compressor). I check my shaft again, it's fine, pretty much no play (same amount of play as it always had).
It seems every time I "fix" something, it gets heaps worse, I don't understand how "fixing" the drain pipe can go from blue smoke now and then, to a 1.2tonne smoke machine in less than 2km of distance. Anyone can share any light on this?
