removing auto torque converter

hey how do you get these off the engine???
ive got a replacement engine but it was an auto before and im putting my manual on it
can some one tell me how to get all the auto front off the the crank,thanks

Down by then oil pan you should be able to see a fair amount of the back side of the driveplate (auto flywheel). Spin the driveplate and you should find about 6 bolts sticking through it into the torque converter. Undo these and the torque converter will drop off.

Course then you just have to unbolt the driveplate and transfer your flywheel and any spacers over

As the man said above.......I've had to do this a million times now :?

Look from the front of the car to where the bellhousing bolts on to the motor and you should see a little window at the bottom of the housing. Turn the crank to move the TC and unbolt the bolts as they appear...there should be 6 of them.

After that just slip the TC off and unbolt the flex plate :wink:
