Oxy sensor poked?

Hey people, I have a sneaky idea that my oxy sensor might be porked. Since fitting the turbo (and an A/F gauge at the same time) it appears to be a little thirsty (maybe thats my foots fault) but the gauge always sits on rich, no change. According to my multimeter there is 1V at the ECU on the oxy sensor wire when idling at operating temp. Blame the sensor?

btw this is AE92, late model 4AGZE, 4 wire O2 sensor

Afaik the only need for an a/f gauge on a toyota is to check if your gauge is working, since at WOT the ecu wont read anything the o2 sensor sends it.

And if it doesnt move at all, it could well be poked. So check ur codes, it will tell ya

Thats the thing... codes are saying 31 which has nothing to do with O2

Oh, good point about the WOT. Should still read A/F though, comp will just be ignoring it right?

From what ive read about the mr2 turbo ones, these are different as they are just a single wire, they only measure between around 13:1 - 15:1 anyway, other wise its just rich

Single wire oxygen sensors are for cruise mode only.

The ecu only takes notice of it when the throttle has remained constant for more than a set period of time, the car is up to temp and is in a certain load range. ( cruise range )

A single wire oxy sensor that is faulty will cause your car to use a little more gas on a long run but thats the only fault.
