Sway Bar. . . .cluncking could it be bent??

as it says. . . . .could the sway bar be bent if it goes clunck. . clunck

i might be wrong on this..but im pretty sure its most likely your sway bar bushes need replacing when they make a clunking sound..
dont quote me on it..
correct me if im wrong..

You could try packing the bush with a small strip of neoprene (???) and see if that gets rid of the sound
Thats what I did as a short term fix on mine, also realised alot of the clunking noise was coming from the bootlid not being adjusted correctly

I'd say its the bushes as well. Do you find it happens when you go over speed bumps? I had that and replaced the bushes and it was fine.

Sorry to hijack the topic, but could someone from a toyota shop help me out? I need new swaybar linkages and bushes for my 1995 Carina ED, and the parts shops round here dont list the items. How much for the genuine article, at toyspeed prices?
