do links keep the settings when off a car for a wile ?

A link/linkplus will keep it's settings when taken off a car, providing it is not dropped/abused etc & is kept in a dry place. However if you take it off to get it updated, chances are that it will have been reset to default settings by Link, & in most cases as they update their products they add extra features/load zones etc & the settings that where in it are no longer relevant to the upgraded specs
