Hesitant Acceleration

Postby Muzzie » Thu Nov 18, 2004 10:07 pm

Basically you tromp on the gas at the lights (actually you don't even needa tromp on it) and it lurches away then almost dies then takes off.

Bloody annoying and I always think it's gonna stall. Why is ithat and how do I fix it.

3Y motor, 2.0 carbed.

Gap and change plugs to start with, this is cheap <$20.

If that doesnt solve it, new leads, rotor and dizzy cap.

Failing that, fuel filter

That to me sounds like the accelerator pump isn't working.

It's had new air filter, had the timing done and it was waaaaay out.

Guess i'll try the leads and plugs, I think it has electronic ignition, have to check on that.

Will keep this updated, thanks.
