Check spark and fuel. If you've got those check timing and if that doesn't fix it then come back :)

might be a dead battery.
When I tried to start my gt4 after then engine hadn't run for atleast a year I couldn't start it with the battery in the car and 2 cars jump starting it! I towed it up the road in 3rd gear and it was poping and spluttering and sh!t then suddenly it just came to life! I was so happy :D From then on it started fine, so I guess it was just quite seized into position and probably had all sorts of crap built up inside the engine on the plugs etc

Yeah I'll get a tow from the CRX

It'll more likely be the sentra though.

My guess is lack of compression in number one. Very common with heavily crashed engines. The uneven cranking is caused by a low compression cylinder, its basically easier to crank over a cylinder that has no resistance. The thing should fire and run even with lack of compression in one cylinder, so you have additional problems.
The answer is Helmholtz!

I think it's more likely to be the battery... I didn't have any other cars to jump it with last night ... will try when I get back later though.

I do have a query though.

What triggers the main EFI relay? TPS? Just bugged me while I was trying to sleep last night.
