Converting a 4AGE to a 4AGZE

Postby XS1V » Wed Dec 01, 2004 10:53 am

Hey guys, im looking at converting a small port 16v 4age to its supercharged counterpart. This may seem like a weird thing to do when i could just source a 4agze but with my budget it easier to buy things one piece at a time and convert the 4AGE.

What am i going to need for the conversion?? I have sourced an ae-101 supercharger and manifold and have 4AGZE alternator brackets, crank pulley, cams and power steering pump on the way. I also know i am going to require the lower compression 4AGZE pistons, 4AGZE injectors as well as the distributer less ignition setup and of course a loom and ecu. Is there anything else im going to need? Has anyone done this at all?? The engine is going in an ae-82 fx or maybe an ae-92 but we will see.

Cheers guys

Its there for a reason. Im sure you'll find crap loads on GE-GZE conversions.

You may also need a higher flow fuel pump and a trottle position switch for the supercharger (not sure if small ports have tps/correct tps). If you can afford it use a front mount instead of the standard top mount intercooler.
