diff that would fit straight into my car?

ive got an '82 corolla 1.6 TE71 and ive just $&#$% my diff - when i go around corners it makes a loud ting noise and feels like the whole back end jerks. I NEED it going by the 9th. is there a quick fix that will last for a day going around a track. and what diffs would fit into it - i think an old rwd corona diff may fit. maybe a lite ace one?
