Hi A few weeks after getting my RC I took off all the bonet lining to enable the vents to actually work & vent the hot air out and I've had no issues with water doing any damage & that was like 3 yrs ago. 8)

if you know anyone with a supercharged 101 ask if they wanna swap.

ive seen a few gti-r bois swap with gti boys because they swapped to fmics, and they wanna be slightly more stealthy ^_^.

plus the bois with the gti's seem to love the bulge.. >.>

they do have there place ive got 2 vents in the bonnet of my trueno club car
not for show but to lower the under bonnet temps after a good thrashing
ive traveled from hamilton to wellington in the rain and had no trouble

scoopss vents what ever stop heat soak in the engine bay.... there not performance inhancing but " like the ones on the gtzs " they cool " let air flow over top of the i/cooler

each to there own tho

do what evilgtz says :wink:
