Black top air filter and exhaust upgrade

Postby scotte » Tue Dec 14, 2004 5:07 pm

I have a stock AE111 Levin black top 20v. I was thinking about attaching a pod filter to replace the airbox and looking at getting a new exhaust for performance only not any more noise. Would these help. What are the most basic mod's you can do without spending heaps of cash?

If you want to keep it relatively quiet and do it on the cheap, then replace airfilter with a aftermarket panel in standard box as mentioned and pull out the resonant box (behind bumper in front of left front wheel behind inner liner), replace the cat with a small resonator and maybe replace the rear muffler with a free flow 2.25in unit, the rest of the system is relatively good otherwise.
