you guys would be amazed at how manys times ppl tell me the colour when i ask for the vehicle info :lol:

Gotta remember that the quote may be in the worst case where various bits needs replacing other than what you may first think. After all, its a quote for what it may cost so if problems arise and things need replacing or whatever then you'd be pissed off if you were quoted $300 and the bill came out as $500.

but if that happens by law the mec or parts person must ring you to say " hey look its now going to be this price B in stead of price A "

Trust me this can kick you in the arse :wink:

example
i sold a gearbox housing for a lamborghini ......... tractor qouted price was $2500 landed freight free ex italy

told the customer this but when the part landed it was more like $3700 and somewere along the line " this was a huge job a intre rebulid of the gearbox " i forgot to tell the customer ....... he flipped when he found out
so i " the company " had to were the cost

so yes always qoute for the worst :wink:
