The gti looks like any other girly hatch, and the gtir looks like darth vader on crack.
I don't like either of them but I guess at least the gtir is fast, if not incredibly well designed

Id go for a Gti-R. Whislt they r getting more popular, they still have that se xon wheels look, the "badboy" image, and they r fu**ing quik. Not 2 mention the fun/safety of a 4wd.
Steve.

I cant stand either, but if you could afford either one, wot possible reason could you have for choosing a gti over a gtir ? although they are both pulsars they arent even in the same league. Sorry, jus seemed like a silly poll.

Postby GEOFF » Thu Apr 24, 2003 3:26 pm

gay gay gay, and gay again for gti's, ugly, boxy not to mention gutless.
when I had my fxgt one of my flatmates had a gti and drove my fx, he said my car was heaps gruntyer especialy on the bottom end, now I know the 4age is NOT at all grunty at the bottom end, so god knows how slow his car is.

The gtir has a cheese grater. But is cool.

when i was thinking about buying a GTI-R a while ago i had this crazy idea

Why not front mount the intercooler then buy a GTI bonnet and sell the GTI-R bonnet to some dork who wants to make his GTI look like its turboed and then you have a good looking car thats turboed/4wd without the ugly bonnet!

(ps. i'm not sure if this is applicaple)
