car losing power

Postby clutch_cargo » Sun Dec 26, 2004 9:32 pm

recently i have found my car to be losing grunt on acceleration,
car - toyota bzr 6 speed
76000km
oil changed, plugs installed in september and cleaned recently.

on mornings when the engine isnt hot , car starts fine and idles fine, on move off car starts fluttering and if i accelerate it tuggs and is very unresponsive. now recently it happens even tho engine is hot. example, after engine is warmed up and say i accelerate, car starts to bog down while accelerating.
car all round is feeling sluggish

is there anything i can check b4 i take it to a mech? what cud be the cause?

bridged te1 and e1 back in oct and got 2 codes 21 and 25, cleared ecu and did it again and hasnt returned since then, ecu is telling me no errors in memory. whats going on?

Hmmm... Sounds like it could be running a bit too rich... O2 sensor maybe?
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.
