Mmmmmm. Would luv an ae101 fxgt 4agze turbo.
Should be pretty straight forward. Just find a written off ae101 gtz and change everything over.
As they are both ae101's everything should bolt straight in.
But then the AW11 N/A and S/C chassis are different. :?

If you do go ahead with it, make sure you get a whole front cut, at least. As you will want to change to the GZE gear box and shafts.

You might need the GZE cross member too, but not sure on that one.

And last but not least, take lot's of pics to make us jelous

im pretty sure its NOT as easy as it sounds....

the looms on the fx and gtz are very very different, and not just the engine looms. its not a simple plug and play job.
an auto sparky mate if mine has done one before and he reckons itd be cheaper and easier to turbo the 20v with an aftermarket ecu than convert a 20v car to 4agze.

hmm, yea the more i look into it its seeming an idea to just go straight to turbo with aftermarket ecu  so i mite just get the new silvertop in her then save again for turbo conversion  UNLESS someone happens to have a turbo converted 4age up for sale i culd just drop in  but for now the fxgtz is on the back burner, just drop the same old silvertop back in for now.

A car with 404000kms will most likely need to be bored for a decent rebuild. This throws out the option of stock gze pistons. Then again it might not need a bore, then your sweet. Your looking at a very expensive tranplants using an aftermarket ecu, esp if your not going to do work on it.

i know someone else was talking about a 7age a while ago cant remember who, i remember they were saying something like the ge head on it etc made it rev better but it was noticably better down low than a 4age, is that the case or what differences are there or problems did you face making this motor ?

ah i see, what is the 7a originally from ?

ezy10s
what else have you done on your project motor,

how come its in the shed have you just taken it out of something or have you just built it and are you just looking for something to put it into,

is it still a sc12 still or an sc14 or something different again,

and how much heavier ya recko it is than a 4agze
:?: :?: :?:

interesting transplant idea for the AE hmmmmmm 8)

Mr Revhead
ah yup i know the ones now,

ezy10s
oh ok so you have just built it but havent installed it into anything yet ? or have you already had it in something to test it ?

so its a stock 7a bottom end with a 4age head and a sc12 bolted on ? i mean as in is it not a gze head ?

does that mean its running more compression cause of the ge head ?
