I have my FPR hooked straight up, no worries there, but if you eliminate the TB coolant lines, you'll need to modify the waxstat setup so that the idle doesn't run high and bounce all the time.

yup thats what its doing, high idle / surging, havent got the coolant lines connected,

but it also sounds like there is a huge vacuum leak, only getting 10" on the guage,

i cant physically see any were on the inlet were it could be sucking air in,
* is there a position for the intake air temp sensor on a late model redtop inlet?

test drove it tonite, first time as turbo, 8O oooohhh baby, cant wait to sort a couple of niggly things and shes all on.

The wax stat is basically a big air leak! It just vents air from one side of the throttle body to the other you need to get water flowing through it if block the hole in front of the butterfly but if you do it will over fuel when cold and most likely not idle so i would suggest hooking water up to it.

i removed myne

and kneedit'ed them up

works perfect idle at 800~ rpm

my link doesent seem to care less car has never stalled when cold etc

the only thing i did was unscrew the air bypass valve a few turns to the idle was slightly higher

hope that helps

p.s myne was stuffed anyway this is why i did this

turns out it doesnt seal properly around the out side
