Alpine 'Radar Sensor'????

Postby Adamal » Sun Jan 02, 2005 7:43 pm

Ok, was pulling my car apart today to fix a couple of things, and discovered this; an Alpine Radar Sensor.

Has anyone got the foggiest idea what this is??? First thought would be "Police detector bro!", however, in all the time I've owned the car, not once has it made any sort of alert when passing a Police car.

So can anyone tell me what it is and what it does????
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

My guess is that its related to a backing / parking proximity sensor.....

A number of the higher end stereo systems [some VDO models spring to mind] have sensor inputs for backing systems etc.

Oh, chucked in those cables today, they work like a dream! And maybe its just me, but the throw seems a bit shorter :?

Hehehe I will one day, but for now, I've had enough of pulling my car to pieces. The engine and gearbox have been out in the last week and put back in, as well as the centre handbrake cable replaced blah blah blah!

I just wanna enjoy my car in one piece for now :D
