Chassis Straightening

Postby Inane » Thu Jan 06, 2005 10:19 am

Anyone Know what the average price of Having your car put on a chassis Straightener??

(I know people wont be able to give exact figures, I'm asking about what the ball park is likely to be)

It all depends on how much damage/time spent on the chassis straightener for an example it cost me approx $300 for the lower suspension arm bracket on the passangers side to be bent back into place after it had been pushed back from me driving into a ditch. What needs straightening on your car??

Was quoted $135 to put my Ferrari on the aligner for measurement, then it depended on what needed doing as far as straightening goes.

Yes, but it's only a $15,000 Ferrari (one of Tau's specials) and right now it looks like it, will cost me around $40k when it's finally on the road. you can see some pics here http://forums.toyspeed.org.nz/viewtopic.php?t=16476

No need, I have a direct line to Ferrari UK who have all the stocks of parts for the old Ferraris.

Nah not necessary, it's over 20yrs old so it's all good as far as the LTSA is concerned, no frontal impact compliance needed either :) Plus I'd get more for it as a LHD when it comes time to sell it, not that I ever intend to, I'll leave that for whoever inherits it when I depart this mortal realm.
