Sourced a white gearknob for my ae111 when I found out the holes are too small for the shifter to screw in...

what should I do?? (apart from selling this one and get another one)

well if i drill a bigger hole i can't actually SCREW it back in...

i have thought about it but no, was thinking if theres any ways OTHER THAN drilling holes...

machine down the stick thread to correct size and re-thread!...that would work, but i'd be inclined to drill and tap the knob, if you reall want it for your car

id be more inclinded to changing the knob than the shifter itself, since if you sell the car you may want to keep the knob .

then you can sell it as *ae111 buddy club knob* or something, rather than telling the new owner *sorry, cant change the gearknob unless your prepared to rethread it again*... which, i doubt many people would (large percentage of owners dont know shit all... just buy stuff from supercheap and wonder why it dosnt fit X_X).

Drill the gear knob then re-thread the hole with the correct size. If you don't have the tools find a tradesman and offer him a 6 pack corona for 5 minutes work.
