Obviously I'm not going to pay $600, but would this make the green bitch go sideways better?

I'm not after any crazy power at the moment...

i doubt you'l get it sideways unless in the rain :P..
but you'l get your left rear wheel spinning for a few seconds..
3/4 race cam might be a bit much for the road, might pay to find out his number and get some info about what sort of porting jobs etc has been done.

yeah, i dunno if it will be fine, its hard to tell without the cam specs, as for getting sideways - maybe you and me have very different views on what sideways is.

Most likely not worth it, especially with the freight cost added. Its not a serious motor, just a freshened up standard with a reground cam by the sound of it. Running twin carbs means the factory toyota ones, complete waste of time. It will have been "rebuilt" at home most likely, based on the bits being bought off trade me (check his feedback). Given you can't even test drive it, keep your money in your wallet.

Thanks Callum, very helpful advice.

The freight is not an issue, I have a mate works for a trucking company saying he could swing a $20 deal.

Dont suppose you're after a freshly build 5K which will happily pull to 8? Not sure if the guy has sold it yet, but I'll ask if you're keen.

Not sure what he wants for it or if he's even sold it yet. Yeah he is local, workmate of mine. Its in a KE20 at the moment and was only supposed to be a temporary motor until he'd finished rebuilding his turbo 5K, but ended up rebuilding this one too.

He says he's been offered $800 for it so probably a little more than you're willing to spend. Why dont you get a T series crossmember and go that way? Saw a 3T in the Buy/Sell a few weeks ago for about $200
