I haven't found this topic doing a search, i remember a while ago reading that the linkages have to be changed around the opposite way to what they are as being different shifter position.

How exactly do you do this as i think it was relatively easy. I'm looking into putting this box into my fxgt club car as i've got hold of a complete mr2 running gear package.

You just unbolt and remove the MR2 linkage and install one from an E series Celica Gearbox. Incidentally, I have one spare, yours for $40 including postage. What a deal! PM me for pics.

Is that the e58 gearbox from a fwd celica or do you mean a c52 from camry?? p.m sent anyway

I think crispy is meaning AW11 not SW20. So a celica box (except maybe AT*** series) will be no good. A C52 is what you're after but its not from a Camry. Ive had a look at my spare C52 but cant really picture how the AW11 linkages would sit so cant help with swapping them sorry.

yeah sorry i updated it . Yep it's in an aw11 mr2 and the gearbox form the celica is the same as i had in a camry i had. It had a 3sge and c52 from factory, 85 camry. Basically celica st162 running gear in it. Yep i do have c52 parts which will be the same if that's what i need .

Going from the MR2 into the AE should be too hard if you've got the original AE box. It sshould all bolt in but you'll have to block off the hole where the shift shaft comes out for the MR2. sorry i ever got the private message.. I just have a Rooted C52 here sitting i my ae82, you can have the linkages (on gearbox and shifter) for $30 if you still want them..
