ignition start

i need help please, i have put a red top 4age in a 89 corolla wagon and its just been getting a mount welded in, and when i went to pick it up it wouldnt start.
there is no spark coming from the coil. i have replaced the dizzy module, and the computer but still nothing.
there is fuel getting through i can smell it out the exhaust but all it does is turn over

Have you checked all the fuses? with it been welded it might have poped a few. Could be a starter motor problem.

yeah all fuses are good, starter is fine cause the motor turns over, there is just no spark coming out of the coil lead and thats new aswell

Sounds like the guy who welder ya car may have caused some damage, did he disconect the battery? It will be something to do with the ignition system maybe the coil got damaged. Is it a smallport red top or big port?

im not sure how car you tell, i got the engine from an 85 corolla but that had been put in that car by someone else and i know that engine didnt come out in the 85s

Check your coil is getting 12V, and is well grounded. If so, try another coil.

if the welder didnt disconnect your ecu it will be $&#$% and probably the ignitor as well

dr-x if it was going when he dropped it off its probably something rthgat happened while it was in there care
welders are nasty to electronics
