Help! Whats Need for a 4age(fwd blue top)coversion in a ae85

i am in desperite help i wana drift my car in the d1s.
will a worked bule top cut it?
Is it worth getting a 4age, because my 3a shat its self and is it worth putting a new 1 in?

Dose anybody know of some 1 whom can put it cheaply but do a good job?

what kinda price bracket am i lookin at?

yeah u can drift with a 4age, just got get the car nice and hard, and give it heaps into the corner, ..dont forget to counter steer though

You could always sell your knackered AE85 to me, and put the money towards a GTSt or something. Or you could just ignore me.

an ae85 would be useless in d1 dude if you want to get into d1 i recomend a skyline,cefiro or a 180sx

well, u "might" able to be top at D1 with just the std 4age but will not be easy. Most importing things u need is drifting skill... expecially for under powered cars.
most cars in D1NZ is getting mad mods... not many NA out there and top drivers out there are running 2 cylinder more than you and got at least a turbo at the side, pumping out more than 200kw at the wheel for most of them when 4age only pump out less than 100kw at wheels. Everyone is going at insane drifting speed now.. up to 4th gear! .. to start drifting. I only manage to get to 3rd. no grunt in 4th and not enough acceleration to hit red line at 4th cos car not fast enough compare to turbos.
by the way, for bluetop FWD to RWD conversion, u need rwd intake manifold(if u want to run efi), rwd exhaust manifold, at least t series gearbox(cos K50 will not last),so as the diff. Also need good suspension setup + diff.

cheers bro this is all ture. is it worth putting one of these 4age turbo setups on my car? yea i have a wee bit of skill so thats all goood but, what will i need if i wanna run some good boost on my motor?Is it really worth it? cheers chris

well, just remember that, more power on the motor, mean more stresses on the other parts of the cars.... like gearbox,diff....etc... so make sure they can handle it. Once u have upgraded them, take care of the motor since both things are stonger now, ur motor will be the weakess of all.... so make sure u have the time and $$ to do them.
seem like a problem that will never be solve! hehehe.. just make sure you do it once and do it right!

also for fwd rwd conversion, you will need rwd water pipes (or mod the fwd ones), rear waterpump housing, outlet pipe, alternater mount, and water pump pulley, all of which you can scab of your 3a-u.



and dont let a couple of cylinders and a turbo stop you from drifting
