Does anyone know if the track rods of an ae101 levin will fit an ae 101 fxgt? Any help appreciated!

Track rods???? Do u mean the rear trailing arms??

i assume he means the ones that go from the chassis out to the wheels....

I dunno, there's 3 arms on each side. A trailing arm that goes north/south and two arms from the hub to the centre of the car. Otherwise known as rear control arms.

They're in the toyota parts catalouge as rear track rods & thats what the guys at toyota in dunedin called them when i failed my warrent. & thats all i know them as, the bushes in them are warn & apparently toyota in all its wisdom made them so u cant just replace the bushes & have to replace the whole rod.
They're the arms that join the rear of the hub to the chasis.
They keep the wheels in line & stop it acting like it has four wheel steering, even though i kinda like it lol

actually they are called arm assy, rear suspension in the catalouge :wink:

Ok, mental note never ask toyota dunedin what parts are called so i can sorce them other ways.
Dont ya just wish you could do your own warrent sometimes, then we'd hardly need mechanics for anything.
An email will be coming your way mr revhead as soon as i find the peice of paper i wrote the chasssis code on.

haha no, what mechanics call one thing and what the epc call it are two different things... track control arms is fine, i knew what you were after.. and i sell the parts so thats the main thing!

send it in a week, on hols till the 16th

those damn arms have got those f#*ken pillow ball setups in them. they work well till they break!!!

They sure do, its kinda unnerving when ur driving hard & suddenly you get a lot more turn in on the corners.
Has anyone else had them go? or am i the only unfortunate one?

Yeah, my old ae101 trueno had the same problem. Had to get new ones fitted. $$$$$
