i found this connector down by the catch can thigie for the radiator......

the wire goes behine the intake and into the firewall where arrowed..
id like to know what it is and where it should be pluged into

probably its some aftermarket stuff, like a bonnet sensor for alarm

Get a multimeter/testlight and test for voltage in a few different scenarios, ie. with horn on, lights etc as it may have been wired for previous aftermarket airhorns, spotlights etc or just trace it back under the dash where it enters the firewall and see where it goes.

yeh its not an alarm one - i had a dynatron installed after i got the car and before i got it there was no alarm. also it looks very toyota-ish if you know what i mean..

twolitre - did not think of testing it - good idea.... ill test it when i have some time. its not realy any worry to me but id still like to know what it is

See if the level sensor for your water bottle is plugged in.

i pulled that out when i flushed the radiator and it didnt apear to have a connector on it but ill check again
