Postby GasGuzler » Sat Mar 19, 2005 2:40 pm

my top radiator hose has no pressure in it when it is running, even when i top up the radiator. also noticed that alot of fluid ends up in the over flow.
what is wrong with it?

Are you waiting until it warms up? Might be time for a new radiator cap

Well the water in your radiator can exceed 100°C. If you've got a buggered radiator cap or one that isn't right for your vehicle then it may not be holding pressure which means the water can boil. If you've got a radiator cap thats holding pressure as it should then the water temp can reach 100°C and not boil.

If that doesn't work then take it to a garage, might be a leak somewhere. Pressure test will show that up pretty quick.
