Broken Central Locking

Postby Zeckle_1 » Wed Mar 23, 2005 9:43 am

I have a lilttle problem with my 1993 toyota levin, some one ran into the passangers door, so i got that fixed, but about 3 months after the crash my passangers door central locking stopped working. Ive had the door to bits and stuff like that so see what the problem is but there doesnt seem to be anything visually wrong.
But the even stranger thing is that it works sumtimes when the outside temperature gets to over 28 degrees.
Can any1 help??? :?

funny that youve identified a temperature, sure its not just a coincidence?

Take it in to the pro's, theyll sort it.. could be all sorts.

If its temp related it could be due to expansion but i wouldnt think the variation between ~20 and 28 deg would be enough to account for much

I'd just try replacing that motor. $25 or there abouts from Repco.

I'd agree with 1/2 that.

Probably the motor needs replacing,
but I was sure all the AE101's that i've done the motor has been part of the catch, and more than $25.
