Fault Codes
The Two Digit Fault Codes are displayed as 0.5 Second flashes of the Check Engine Lamp.
The first set of flashes indicates the Tens.
There is a 1.5 Second Pause followed by the flashes indicating the Units.
If more than One Code is in Memory, they will be displayed in ascending order with a 2.5 Second Pause between Codes.
The Codes will be repeated after a 4.5 Second Pause.

Fault Code Erasure
Switch Ignition OFF.
Remove the EFI Fuse in the Main Fuse/Relay Box in the Engine Bay for at least 30 Seconds.


Fault Code Extraction
Ensure that the:
Battery is fully charged.
Throttle Valve is Fully Closed (Idle Points Closed).
Transmission in Neutral or Park.
All Accessories OFF.

Bridge Terminal T to E1 on the Diagnostic Connector.
Switch Ignition ON.
Read Codes as Flashes of the Check Engine Lamp.

12 Engine Speed Signal (Engine Cranking)
ECM received No NE or G Signal for 2 Seconds after Cranking.

13 Engine Speed Signal (Engine Running >1000 RPM)
ECM received No NE Signal with Engine Speed >1000 RPM.

14 Ignition Signal
ECM received No IGF Signal for 8 to 11 Consecutive Ignition Cycles.

21 Oxygen Sensor / Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit
Sensor Signal does not exceed a Set Value on Lean or Rich Side for a certain period.

Open or Short Circuit in Oxygen Sensor or Circuit.
Open or Short Circuit in Oxygen Sensor Heater.

22 Engine Coolant Temperature
Open or Short Circuit in Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, Circuit or ECM.

24 Intake Air Temperature
Open or Short Circuit in Intake Air Temperature Sensor, Circuit or ECM.

25 Air /Fuel Ratio Lean
Air / Fuel Ratio Adaptive Control Value at the Upper or Lean Limit.

26 Air /Fuel Ratio Rich
Air / Fuel Ratio Adaptive Control Value at the Lower or Rich Limit.

31 Air Flow Meter
Faulty Air Flow Meter, Circuit or ECM

32 Air Flow Meter
Faulty Air Flow Meter, Circuit or ECM

34 Turbocharger Pressure Signal
Excessive Turbocharger Pressure.

35 Turbocharger Pressure Signal
Open or Short Circuit in Turbocharger Pressure Sensor.

41 Throttle Position Sensor
Open or Short Circuit in Throttle Position Sensor, Circuit or ECM.

42 Vehicle Speed Sensor
Open or Short Circuit in Speed Sensor, Circuit or ECM.

43 Starter Signal
ECM received No Start Signal until Engine Speed >800 RPM
(This Code will be displayed if the Vehicle has been Push Started)

51 Electrical Load Signal
This Code is displayed when Diagnostic Connector Terminals TE1 and E1 are Bridged

And Air Conditioning is ON or Idle Contacts Open without a Starter Signal.

52 Knock Sensor Signal
Open or Short Circuit in Knock Sensor or Circuit.

53 Knock Program Faulty
ECM
