if your objective is to go "real low" adjustable platform struts are a waste of money.
meh.....

Because you're better off putting some money back in your pocket, and buying some low springs and compressing them.

The real idea behind running adjustable platforms is to adjust your corner weights. It also makes it easier to play with suspension heights (obviously)
and changing to different height/weight springs.
For my KP60 4AGTE racecar, Im spending my money on good front inserts
and converting the struts with the kits available from George Stocks here in Chch. NOT the poxy threaded tubes that sit on top of the factory spring seats. You can buy all the threaded tubes, spring seats, spherical bearing
top hats, 2 1/2" ID springs etc at very reasonable prices.
Im on a fairly tight budget, but I would still go this way even if I had plenty of tin. Im not saying that TRD is poor quality, but I would rather get some Konis. That way the internal valving can easily be changed,
and the shocks are rebuildable. It comes down to personal preference
as there is plenty of good shocks out there
If it doesn't fit, force it.
If it breaks it needed replacing anyway!

my mate has TRD ones, dont really like them compared to my Teins.

SAS have some real nice ones, forgot the brand, but you can also adjust the STRUT LENGHT and platform height at the same time!! so it stops it bottoming out when u adjust the platform real low.

think they want $2000+gst for all 4 corners.

The TRD ones dont come with retainer springs, so you have to get some made for a cert, look kinda cheap ,no offense to TRD. Basically they dont look the part  and my teins are better :P

look the part? ricer!

if ride quality is what you want... then forget about going real low.

whats wrong with a set of TRD springs? they will take it within 20mm of the guards, and retain excellent ride and handling.

i think the ones SAS do are whiteline, the other brand i do, they are quite cheap and as mentioned above is adjustable in 2 places.

compressing low springs is not advised

no its not whiteline, i asked them.

when my mate tries to make his ae111 with the trd coil overs nice and low, wheel not even in the guard, it bottoms out on bumps.
