Can you replace the coil in the dissy on a 3sfe motor. ( ST 191 Corona) Manual says no but Repco lists a replecement.

Yes you can and we do all the time at work as they ( all toyota internal dist coil's) quite a common problem.

there are a couple of different types,

as long as you have then right one you should have no problems.
They're pretty simple to do.
