they have an emissions ecu, and a coupla solenoids in the carb, one will be for shut off, i guess the other alters the mixture... they are both called thottle valve solenoids.

my carbied 4a-f will drive but has no idel with out ecu. Had vacume hosed and solinoids for africa on carby i dont know why they didnt just inject the bitch not like the tech wasnt out in '88
