Shocks

Hey I am looking into replacing the hilux's shocks with some kyb items

either GR-2 or GAS - A - JUST shocks

does anybody have experience with these or other kyb shocks? anybody know what sort of price these fetch?

I want to stiffen the ride up a litle to eliminate body roll, improve steering etc, but dont want the ride to get too bumpy. Which shock would be best?

hehe you want to stop the body roll its a 4WD it will always have roll

hasnt got much body roll but there is still a litle I want to get rid of as much as I can.

Shocks don't stop the body roll - sway bars and springs do. Stiffen up those items and you'll be lot better off.

I am only running blocks in the rear for the moment will probally stiffen the rear springs with another leaf in time aswell as dropping it another 25mm but not now. Cheers Will look into doing swaybars - was next on the list after shocks, recomended brand?

what do shocks do then? surely they play a role in stopping body roll, improving handling, steering etc. I will need new shocks in time anyway Im guessing the std ones wont stand up to the truck being lowered, springs stiffened etc for long.

Can anybody recomend KYB's ? and what type of kyb did you use?
I mean the ultimate would be to grab some bilsteins but I know how bumpy they can be on the street. Plus Im not going to spend that much when I dont even have decent power lol.
