4AGZE into AE111
Hey guys
Well as you may of guessed im looking into performing this conversion on my 1997 BZR and have a few questions about it, i have searched for a good hour or so and haven't found bugger all (could be put down to poor search skills lol)
My first question is, will the 4AGZE fit? What i mean is will it bolt straight up to my exsisting mounts for both the engine and gearbox? and is there room in my engine bay for it, i mean will the supercharger fit?
Will my powersteer, alternator and air con units hook straight up?
I have been told by a mate that i cannot use the 4AGZE ecu in my car, is htis true? Will i be able to use the 4AGZE ecu & loom to run the engine? and will me using this ecu effect any of my ABS, Airbags etc?
And last but not least how much approximately does a good 4AGZE motor, ecu & loom go for these days? preferably a low k 7 rib block sort.
I really appriaciate all replys
Thank you very much

the prob with the ecu is it also runs wires etc to the dash loom, and that part is very different in a 4agze. as for bolting in, it wont be a drama. but there will be the odd thing that needs altering, but nothing major.
itd prob be easier to rebuit your blacktop with earlier 4age rods and ze pistons and turbo it with aftermarket ecu.
a 4agze loom and ecu will set you back $1500-2000

Get a Silvertop bottom end, GZE pistons and slap a big T3 on that thing!
A turbo 20v BT would be good to see and surely make nice #'s.

blacktop everything, gze pistons.... thats it
no one has proven how *weak* the blacktop conrods are, and until they do, i stand by them
plus shell rev slightly faster

ST has the same rods as the late AE92 and AE101 4agze motors.
This is a pic of the ST/GZE rod next to the BT rod.
About it revving faster, I would use the BT flywheel.

Thanks for all the replys guys
I see that most of you are saying to pull the blacktop out and build it with 4AGZE pistons and Silvertop Conrods and turbo it.
So i would need an aftermarket ECU, what sort/brand would be a good choice if anyone has had any good experiences with any. And if anyone has any idea about costs and tuning of these their knowledge would be appriciated.
Also i would probably need some bigger injectors and fuel pump wouldnt i?
Would the crank be up to the task?
Thanks again

Silvertop crank and rods should be identical to those found in the 4AGZE. As for a computer, a Link may be a good bet as there are quite a few people around who actually know how to tune them. Others will tell you what to go for and what to steer clear of.
I've got a set of 4AGZE rods, pistons, injectors and fuel pump spare here if you are interested.
