Idle problem with dellorto's

Postby TygerTung » Fri Apr 22, 2005 9:18 am

I've got my dellorto's idling all smoothly now, but only for a while, it idles smoothly for a while, then just dies, what could cause this?

Maybe the mixtures need richening/leaning?

Any idea's?

also have a wee play with the jetting calculator and check whether your jetting is suitable:

Pull a spark plug out after it dies if its wet and black your engine is too rich and flooding if clean and dry its lean.
The 4 little screws by the butterfly shafts adjust this to a piont beyond that is jetting. Just adjust all 4 the same amount to begin with in small incremints
