Most engines have around 160-180psi, I would definitely be worried if your compression is that low. Being a 7MGTE, I'd say you have a blown headgasket.
Coincidentally I have a complete, brand new genuine Toyota 7MGTE headgasket set here (heaps of gaskets including manifold gaskets, head gasket itself, valve stem seals etc) that I'm selling for $200 if you want it

You're usually right just to flush the cooling system out completely and just get the head resurfaced with a new gasket. They're well known for doing the headgaskets so it might pay to invest in a TRD one or something?

Not personally, ust speaking in general. Anyone know of any other way to prevent the headgasket issue?

it's a stock Toyota replacement gasket set. If properly torqued down (atleast 70ft-lbs) it should be plenty reliable unless you're looking at running high boost (16psi+). That's assuming the head isn't stuffed. Pays to get the head hardness checked as if it's been overheated the alloy will have softened and it may be too soft

I'm not selling parts from my GA70, I have some 7MGTE engine parts (no block, head, or turbo) for sale, aswell as an R154 gearbox w/ 1JZ bellhousing, and a rolling manual GA70 with no engine or gearbox.

I bought the head gasket set when I was going to rebuild my 7MGTE. Then I took the head in to be planed and they tested it for harness and they said it was way too soft to reuse. So I started looking for another head, when a 1JZ came up, and I bought that instead. Then I ended up buying an SC AW11 and deciding I had far too many cars for a uni student so I'm trying to sell the GA70 and all associated bits.
I bought the gasket set from Mr Revhead and it cost $200, it was the last in the country so to get another would cost a lot more than the $200 I'm trying to sell it for.

I saw your thing about the coils, and responded.
Ring or text me on 027 664 7293 if you want to look at or buy.

it's not recommended to reuse them. You can get ARP head studs or bolts through 935motorsports.com for less than $100US (last time I checked anyway).
Give me a call on 027 664 7293 if you want the coils and/or the head gasket set
